What is your stretch goal? What are you working towards that, when you achieve it, you will have that sense of accomplishment that only comes with determination and sacrifice? You’ve got to put that goal out there where you can see it; you need to be reminded of it every day and work at it. Every. Day.
Here are a few ideas for keeping your Big Goal in your line of vision.
Gather pictures of what you’re working toward. Is it a destination? A new home? A more fit physique? A degree? There’s a pretty good chance you’ve already pinned some of these things from Pinterest, right? Create a vision board where you can place these pictures — along with inspiring quotes — to keep you focused on your goal.
Are you saving up for your Big Goal? Maybe it is a vacation or a kitchen make-over. Create a bank, pretty enough to put on your desk or your kitchen counter. (Here are more acrylic block ideas.)
ON THE WALL…OR EVEN ON YOUR LAPTOP
Be inspired. Put words of affirmation where you can see them: right on the wall or on your laptop. Whether you place them in a frame or adhere vinyl lettering directly to a wall or other surface, it is important that you have messages that uplift and inspire you every single day.
It’s not easy to achieve Big Goals. But, it’s important to set them, to work towards them, and to celebrate when you achieve them.
Need a graduation gift for an Ohio State bound high school senior? Looking for something to give a Buckeye fan of any age? This acrylic block bank is easy to make and all supplies are available from Uppercase Living. Here’s another idea: fill with buckeyes for a graduation table centerpiece and tie with a scarlet and gray ribbon.
The letter “O” in Princetown font, 5.5″ font, crimson red
A period “.” in Angelina font, 4″ font, mocha brown
STEP 1: Remove backing paper from the “O”
STEP 2: Smooth onto acrylic block and then gently remove transfer tape.
STEP 3: Cut around other vinyl pieces so you can get a better visual on placement.
STEP 4: Remove backing paper, smooth vinyl on to block and remove transfer tape (for leaf, circle and the tiny mocha brown embellishment).
STEP 5: Finish project by punching out slit to make the block into a bank. Or, pull the front and back halves of the block apart, fill with buckeyes, and snap back together (to make a centerpiece for a graduation party).
